Love To My Mom
You know I have always loved you mom
And I love you still today,
I may be gone from your life upon the Earth
But my love will forever stay.
I loved you from the day of my birth
A love you nourished as I grew,
You showed me what it meant to truly care
And I returned that love to you.
The day I left you behind
The day God called me home,
I left with you the love I knew
Would help you this earth to roam.
But just because I am no longer here
For you to see and touch each day,
Doesn’t mean the love is gone that’s in our home
It did not die as a piece of clay.
I am still with you each day as you go on
With life the way God wants it to be,
I show you my presence in so many ways
And in so many ways does He.
So mom, keep looking for my light
I send to you each day,
You know how much I loved in life
And I know how you wanted me to stay.
But God had other plans for me
He needed me in Heaven then,
He told me I can still show you my love
In ways unknown to men.
A penny here, a penny there
For you to always see,
I see your face when you spot them
Wherever they may be.
Sweet mom, my mom, my love, my life
As you gave it so unselfishly to me,
One day we will be together again
When God says it is to be.
Until that time, dear mom so sweet
You must go on alone,
Remember my love will be with you there
As rock solid as the stone.
Keep the faith and never let it waver
When storms come into your life,
In Heaven the storms of life will cease
As will your sorrow and strife.
For now I must go home to live with God
But you will join me there one day,
A grand reunion we will have
And you too will be home to stay.
